In this video, we aim to educate people of colour on the dangers of skin cancer, as well as address the systemic racism that is within the field of dermatology. There is an obvious lack of representation of darker skin tones (types IV-VI) in medical textbooks and this video aims to address these issues. The video then explains the ABCDE method of diagnosing melanomas and how this may be harder to diagnose on darker skin tones.
